The Grasshopper

This classic grasshopper beverage is an after dinner drink. It is the perfect dessert! It is a great combination of ice cream, creme de menth and creme de cacao. I am a huge fan of blended drinks and this was definitely my favorite one this summer, so I wanted to share it for this month's Recipe ReDux! Instead of using regular ice cream, I used low-fat frozen vanilla yogurt... making it less calories for the same great taste!

The Grasshopper

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot Creme De Menthe
  • 1 shot Creme De Cacao
  • 1 scoop low-fat frozen vanilla yogurt (or vanilla bean ice cream)
  • mint leaves, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth. Pour mixture in cups and garnish with mint leaves.
