Fresh Papaya and Banana Smoothie

Summer is the time to experiment with fresh fruits and veggies especially when blending them into a delicious snack, meal or dessert! I love making smoothies because you cant really go wrong with the fruit combination, however, veggies are a bit more challenging when finding a happy balance between sweet and savory (I need to experiment some more with veggies!). For this post, I put everything from my papaya banana bowl recipe into a blender and added ice to get this refreshing, nutritious AND yellow (my favorite color!!) smoothie!

Papaya and Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 ripe papaya, seeded
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 5 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. In a blender, combine banana, papaya, yogurt and honey. Blend until smooth. Add ice cubed and blend well. 
  2. Pour in two cups and enjoy!
