Frozen Blueberry & Walnut Yogurt For One

The FDA has finally added some improvements to the way consumers will look at nutrition facts labels! YAY. It will now be easier to identify calories, portion sizes and even ingredients. The calories and serving sizes are highlighted, bringing those two important facts to the consumer’s attention. In addition to those changes, the FDA also made it easy to identify added sugars and ingredients in each product.

I have created a recipe that emphasizes portion control and no added sugars--Frozen Blueberry & Walnut Yogurt. It is made with 3 simple ingredients that combine to taste like a fresh scoop of wild blueberry frozen yogurt in a waffle cone. Somehow the frozen walnuts add just enough crunch to mimic a freshly baked cone. This is the perfect summer treat!

  • ¼ cup frozen walnuts, chopped
